MN Woodworker's Guild Annual Show In my other life, I'm also a member of the MN Woodworker's Guild. It's a great organization but mostly men. This is my impression of the organization - a bunch of guys arguing over the finer details of how to sharpen a chisel*..... hmm.... But in all reality, it's a great group and I wish there were photo organizations in my city that were as well run as them. This isn't a great shot, I included this photo mainly to give an example of photos taken with the Former Soviet Union made Jupiter 50mm f/2 lens. This was mounted on a Leica M7 with a screw mount adaptor, shot wide open at f/2. * The best way to sharpen a chisel in my humble opinion is the Scary Sharp® method. I guess the Leica group isn't much different, instead we go on endless about whether the Summicron 50mm f/2 DR is sharper than the Summicron 50mm f/2 rigid, etc. etc. etc. This photo comes out of an argument over whether a Leica can accurately focus a Russian lens or not. Rather than getting theoretical, just do it! Filename: 030502a-17-Woodworkers.jpg Jump to: 01-02-03-04
